9:30 After breakfast I did some sewing to finish Ellie's baby contest costume while she and Eric played in the sprinkler outside. I also got a phone call about an urgent alteration a customer needed to his suit, so I worked on that, too.
10:30 Our insurance guy came over with papers to sign that will get us a lower rate on our car insurance. Hooray for saving an extra $20 a month including adding on renter's insurance.
11:30 Ellie's nap started around the time I finished work on the suit. I don't remember what I did in that time period other than tweaking one of Ellie's hair bows to include red and white striped fabric. I probably should have taken a nap like my daughter did.
12:45 Once Ellie was done sleeping we tried to feed her. That didn't work very well, so I styled Ellie's hair in preparation for the contest. We dressed her after that.
1:30 Eric dropped us off for the contest. We stood in a long line to have Ellie judged. Trying to keep her entertained was difficult.
2:25 Judging for Ellie finished after what seemed an eternity standing in line. I had hoped this year would be as much fun as last year, but it was much less fun. There wasn't time for us to do all the extra activities they had. We watched Up for about 10 minutes before it was time to change Ellie's diaper and head down to the awards ceremony.
3:10 Awards ceremony starts (late). Ellie was...uncooperative. She didn't want to sit in a chair after she'd been made to stand in line.
3:30 Ellie's name was called as the second place winner in the costume category for her age group. Woohoo! I must say she rocked her little waitress costume.
3:45 Eric arrives to pick us up and gets there in time to snap a few pictures of us on stage with the other winners. There were more than are pictured. The picture shows a couple of the other second place winners.
4:00 We stop home briefly to pick up more diapers before heading to Eric's dad's house for an extended family picnic.
4:30 We finished getting a couple of things for the picnic and got on the freeway. It then took us an hour to get from Lindon to Sandy because of traffic at point of the mountain. There was road construction that should have been happening, but no one working and the road wasn't torn up. Those two extra lanes would have been nice...
5:30-7:30 Picnic with family. I have no further timeline on what we did, but it was fun. It was especially cute to watch Ellie playing with the other kids. She doesn't get that exposure often. The other kids know how to rough house. Ellie does not, but she's a good sport and seemed to even enjoy it a little bit. There was good conversation and yummy food. Do you really need more than that?
So now the pregnant lady is exhausted. I just wanted to document the day while I still remember it. Tomorrow it will all be gone. I'll also leave you with the picture of the dress I made for the age category contest and that Ellie will be wearing to church on the 4th of July. So cute. The dress isn't too bad, either.

Sounds like fun. I was invited to be a judge for the contest, but was too busy working on my paper. It would have been fun to do.
We were stuck in that traffic too. Not fun.
